The inspiration behind Bright Hope Soaps is a triumph-over-trials story. I started making soap in 2005 when I was yet a victim of domestic violence. Making a quality product that kept customers coming back for more gave me much-needed confidence to take steps toward freedom.
After a season of recovery, I returned to soap-making to discover a meaningful metaphor. There is a triumph-over-trials story in the very process of soap-making itself. Crafting soap requires the use of lye, a caustic compound. But, when combined with oils, an astounding metamorphosis occurs. A gentle soap is formed. Domestic violence is caustic like lye. Trials and suffering, however, when mixed with the oils of God’s mercy and grace, are transformed into a beautiful testimony. Bright Hope Soaps began on this foundation of joy and hope. While we offer a wide variety of high quality soap, our passion is to help others express their own story of triumph-over-trials through custom projects.
What Do I Do?
I use soap as a vehicle to foster connection and meaning for individuals, businesses, and causes. As an artisan, I create high quality goat milk soap from my own Nubian goats. I use colors that are symbolic to logos, causes, and inspirational stories. Apart from my Legacy Collection, a line of soaps that share powerful stories, I offer a broad variety of goat milk soaps, bath bombs and lotions.
Be sure and visit the shop. Enjoy soap made in a space of joy, honor, and respect.
