Emmy is a talented young woman possessing a wisdom beyond her years. Being the oldest daughter, she sets the standard for her siblings in the area of decorum. She is like a young mother hen keeping our brood in order. All the children respect her leadership. Emmy authors our weekly column called “Featured Creature”. She published this column first for our Farmer’s Market customers. Her goal was to help consumers get to know not just the farmers but their critters and farm life too. Emmy is a baker, seamstress, artist, singer, piano player, milk maiden, and huntress. She is my fellow mad scientist when we do soapy creations. I rely a lot on her artistic hand when doing various color swirl techniques.
While she has not bagged her first deer yet, she has brought home a few squirrels. She has a quiet and studious personality preferring to to be at home with a book in hand. If you visit our farm, you will find her directing all the children to act civilized. She will serve you and do all she can to make you feel at home. She is deeply devoted to God and conducts all her endeavors in a Christ-like fashion.
